Great quality at a reasonable price
Although Amazon completely destroyed one end of the cardboard box the bar was undamaged, which indicates good protective packaging. The chrome finish is very clean and smooth, and the knurling on the bar feels just right with and without gloves. The 28mm size feels substantial but not oversized. This bar is actually round. I have another Olympic bar (not Cap brand) that came as part of a complete set, and you can feel several flat spots around the circumference of the bar. When spinning the new bar inside the bearings with no load there is some squeaking, and I’ll probably disassemble and lubricate it. Otherwise, there is no excessive play in the parts.Overall I’m very pleased with this purchase. It looks and feels like a high end bar but without the high end price. I have a small workout space and the 5′ length is perfect for dead lifts, freeing up my 7′ bar to become a permanent home on the bench.

The Perfect 5-Foot Bar for Home Gyms and Smaller Racks
This 5-foot CAP Olympic Bar is absolutely perfect for a home gym setup where space is a premium. We specifically chose the 5 ft option because we use a small squat rack (not a full power rack), and this bar fits the dimensions exactly without sticking out awkwardly.For my partner and me (both around 5’6″ and 5’7″ tall), the shorter length feels completely natural for squats, presses, and deadlifts. It provides a full, challenging workout while saving significant room compared to a standard 7 ft bar. 60″ black bar is a good bar if you have realistic expectations
My husband and I have had a wide variety from low to mid-range fitness and strength products over the years, so when he wanted a lower-priced Oly barbell, we thought of Cap as our experiences have overall been good with them for over 25 years. We have found that sometimes their chromed equipment has sharp edges or flakes, so we went with the 60in, Solid Bar, Black. My husband is lifting 300 pounds max – usually less – and I’m lifting 100 or under, so this bar seemed good.And it is just what we wanted. It’s lighter than an official bar but heavier than a 1-inch standard bar, the black finish is attractive with no flaking or sharp edges at all. The knurling is comfortable and grippy. The sleeves don’t stick, and while I don’t think they have bearings or bushings, for this price, we weren’t expecting any. The black finish is coming off of the sleeves in a couple small places, but for the price, we expected that. We’re using it almost daily, with and without a small rack, and are completely satisfied.This is a budget-priced all-solid bar, so we didn’t expect an Ohio Power Bar or something like that. We bought this bar as it will work for our needs and costs around 1/4 of the price of a value bar and about 1/8th of a price or less of a high end bar, but we don’t need a high end bar. And to bring a solid bar in at this price range, there are going to be compromises, but we knew that going in.Overall if you don’t want to spend too much money but don’t want a hollow barbell, this is a solid option. We’re getting a lot of use out of it, and plan to keep using it for years to come.

Good bar. Some rust.
Bar seems to be good quality. The grip is great! Only issue is that the bar arrived with rust spots. I couldn’t get them to come clean. I didn’t want to deal with trying to ship back for an exchange, so ores to just deal with it.

Solid 6ft. Barbell
Very staisfied with this bar. It is light in in weight. Feels like a 15lb bar. I do like that it’s rackable. The bar itself looks really good. Performs as expected. Although I’m sure that it won’t hold a lot of weight given the size of the sleeves and the feel of the bar.

Nice bar, 6ft Elite weighs 25 lbs.
I bought the 6ft “Elite”, black color bar. The description has two different weights listed, 24 lbs and 28 lbs. I weighed just myself, and then while holding the bar on a pretty nice digital scale. It weighs 25.1 lbs.It is a nice solid bar.

Quality for its price
One of the best exercise equipment I’ve bought, and I’ve bought many. May not be the best quality, but quality enough especially for its price. The rotation isn’t smooth, but enough not to hinder exercises. I love doing barbell rows and deadlifts with this bar.

I purchased the 5’ bar, the specifications advertised a shaft length of 37” actual is only 33.5”. Wanted to return it but Amazon only covers $3.99 of the costs to ship back, actual cost to return a 25lb bar is $80. I unwillingly kept the bar.
