Upgraded Audio and Video is worth the buy
I genuinely love it. The video quality is amazing — super clear during the day and surprisingly sharp at night. I wasn’t expecting the night vision to look that good, but it really does. The audio is great too. It’s loud, clear, and actually useful when you need to talk through the camera. No weird muffled sound or lag. Setup was easy, it stays connected, and it just does exactly what it’s supposed to do without any hassle. If you’re considering getting one, I’d honestly recommend it. It’s been solid for me. Only con: it picks up a lot of wind noise like even a light breeze can sound dramatic. Not a dealbreaker, but something to keep in mind.

Finally a high resolution outdoor camera
Finally a decent camera with great resolution. Great for our long driveway to see approaching cars and people without blurriness. Of course easy to set up and mount and the usual Ring customized settings.

4k camera image not noticed.
The clarity is ok but the add to this camera is deceiving. The add shoes 10x zoom with 4K showing a license plate. I’ve had cars parked about the same distance, end of my driveway. The camera does not get a clear image on the plates. This was the one reason I purchased this camera. I had a 2nd generation spot light camera I replaced it with and the image is just a bit clearer I don’t see that 10x 4K image as advertised. 🤨

Best outdoor camera I’ve had
Best outdoor I’ve had! 5ghz wifi makes it so much faster and response than older cameras and the picture quality is great! Its expensive but it has not disappointed me yet.

Great during the day. Not so great at night.
Replaced my old battery cam with the new 4k wired cam. Picture is much clearer and very bright during the day. Nighttime however reduces visibility substantially. Very dark. The infa red helps very close to the camera but further objects are very dark. I need to keep a light on outside to see what’s going on.

Looks great… but read the fine print! ⚠️ NO battery option!!
I was genuinely excited to get this camera the design is sleek, the promise of 4K resolution and enhanced zoom sounded 🔥. But here’s the major catch Amazon doesn’t make obvious enough: this is a PLUG-IN ONLY model. There is NO battery option which means you’re stuck with finding an outlet 🔌 or running a power cord 🔄, even in outdoor spaces where that’s not ideal (or even possible).If you’re planning to install this somewhere without easy access to power, you’re out of luck 🚫. For a premium camera, this should’ve had a battery-powered option like other Ring products. I feel like this key limitation should’ve been way clearer in the listing. Super disappointed 😤.✅ Pros:• Crisp design• 4K video is impressive• Wide-angle lens is great❌ Cons:• No battery option at all ❗• Limited placement flexibility 🚷• Misleading listing (should highlight “Plug-In ONLY” in bold) ❗❗Bottom line: If you’re looking for a flexible outdoor cam, this isn’t it.Double-check power requirements before buying don’t make the same mistake I did.

Disappointing murky image
So far I’m disappointed w the image quality. I guess my expectations were too high. There is no film over the lens. My WiFi speed is 300 Mbps, the connection is solid, so it’s not that. I have tried multiple forgets and reconnects, as well as reboots. I got a Ring Chime Pro, successfully connected it to the “4K” device, and the Ring app indicates a strong (green) signal. This is 15 feet from the device, with a clear line of sight. I get the image you see uploaded.Based upon my personal experience, this device is not worth the upgrade money. If you’re transitioning to a Ring system, don’t waste the extra money on what they’re claiming is “4K”. It’s barely 32-bit image quality.
