After being swept up in the world of The Central Library, Emerson Blackwell has finally stepped into Foundation’s Catalogue.
The worlds she encounters inside the banned books are darker, but no less real, than the realms in The Central Library’s Catalogue. Emerson finds herself thrown headfirst into a Catalogue brimming with monsters from her worst nightmares, tests that make her question reality, and enemies disguised as friends.
Emerson made a split-second decision in her desperation for the truth, but curiosity soon turns to unease when she is forced to confront what awaits her inside Foundation. Where she expected to find answers, there are only more questions. Iris Blackwell may be alive and well, but the mother she remembers is a distant memory. Old feelings begin to resurface for Silas Rathbone as her time inside the banned books distorts the memories of Adrien Moon. And with every new world she discovers, the more she begins to wonder whether the books are transforming her into someone she no longer recognizes.
Only one thing becomes clear the further Emerson dives inside Foundation’s Catalogue: Villains are not born. They are made.

    Amazing author
Halfway through the first book, I ordered the rest of the series. It was that good! The second book is just as phenomenal. The author’s imagination and writing style are fantastic. I love the graphics on the cover and first page of each chapter, she makes her characters and worlds come to life, she’s created the perfect blend of romance, adventure, mystery and intrigue. I was so pleased with her endings as they flow effortlessly into the next book and never drag towards the end as I’ve found some books of this length do. This is one of those rare series you read slowly just to savor it.

    Inventive and raw fantasy
It is with great pleasure that I ended this latest book from Ms. Spencer. Reading fresh, new authors is always a bit of roller coaster of highs and lows. However, everyone has to start somewhere and being one of the first (among the masses) to read a new book is a great honor I do not take lightly. Her first book was inventive and the storyline engaging. Her characters and descriptions were rough with jagged edges that often made me wince and cringe.Book Two is leagues better. Her characters are more real and her scenes have a depth deserving of emotional response. There were many scenes that had me crying and one or two laughing.I am here for this story. I love the world she’s describing and slowly building. The characters are all quite flawed but I don’t need a hero in all my stories. Sometimes the hero is the world itself and a world that allows teleportation between books is my kind of world. With great anticipation, I await book three.

I want both Silas and Adrien 😭
This was my second read through of this, and I loved it even more the second time around. As the action and war ramp up, m9re secrets and intrigue uncovered, I am hooked on every page and word.I’m going to say more in my next reviews, as those are first time reads and I hopefully won’t have been up for 24 hours(my fault, picked up a shift.)Thank you, Amelia. This world is truly so much fun.

The Dark Side of the Library
This is a dark story. Where the first book has elements of darkness, Foundations dives into the depths of the darkness hidden in the Central Library. Loyalties are tested and Emerson discovers who she truly is.

    An excellent continuation.
Well, fine. I was going to go to bed, but I guess I’ll start book three instead.

You may not want to waste your time
I really began to dislike the heroine in this book as she got excited and dreamy when any man gave her attention. The story was a bit confusing at times and the ending just stopped, begging for a third book, which I will not read

    Adventure Awaits
I was sucked in from the first page. We delve into more worlds and adventures while learning more about the characters and the battle between the Central Library and the Foundation Library. There were some things that I predicted but there were others I didnt see coming. I honestly am not sure if the villian portrayed here is the actual villian aka one person. Taking a deeper look at this book, one could conclude that the villian is an allegory of how one’s beliefs could jade their view of what is morally acceptable to reach their goals. The love triangle continues into this book and there are a couple of scenes that I would give 2 chili peppers. You are going to know what is going on…it is a little more descriptive…but we are sill going to fade to black. It’s not explicit and it is not in your face. Also, the romance is in the correct places for the story and doesn’t override the plot. There are a couple of trigger warnings at the front of the book which include explicit language (not overwhelming but there are places where curse words appear) and there are times when the characters are drinking alcohol though not excessively. Can’t wait to dive into book 3.

I really do want to love it. I do have a need to know but have many questions… Why can’t Emerson communicate. Why is it giving Twilight vibes? Adrian or Silas? Then her mind is made for her … How can she fall for Silas since she grew up with him from the age of 5?So many gaps in the story. I struggle with timings within the book and the jumping from one thing to anotherI like how the past stories were told… Very clever. It’s giving Twilight/hunger games strong (ISH) girl has two guys fighting over her from different backgrounds. So many characters who aren’t described and where does Magnus come from?
